Danes Coffee

Art meets science: And it tastes Good.

We treat coffee creation as an art and a science. The science comes from defining and extracting a variety of flavours from the beans we source. The art comes from the barista’s skill in extracting this flavour through the machine and delivering it as a perfect cup, every time.

Our single origin coffees are designed to be enjoyed straight up - without milk. That’s because their subtle and complex flavours are generally lost when blended with milk. Each blend is made from outstanding coffee beans sourced from the world’s finest Coffee Estates.

Our blended coffees are designed to be combined with milk - with rich flavours bursting through the milkiness. If you like a flat white or latte to an espresso, these are the blends for you.

Coffee Profile

In our search for a new way to express flavour in coffee, we have created our flavour pentagon. This gives the taster the opportunity to measure five key elements of taste:

Aroma | Flavour | Sweetness | Body | Finish

We rate each bean and blend for specific characteristics from 1-10

Aroma - How powerful is the aroma?
Flavour - Does the flavour hit you immediately, or is it more subtle?
Body - Is it a thinner or fuller texture?
Sweetness - How would you rate it on a scale of slightly bitter to very sweet?
Finish - How long does the flavour linger?
